Day #732 (Thu., Jan. 5, 2012) – Plucking The Tree Clean
I took Katie to the park near Lochmere this morning. She got into the baby swing but leaned forward this time…I guess to have a feeling of falling. She’s learning to adapt… They are fixing the sandbox as you can see in the photo to the left. There was a tractor nearby that she was fascinated with. She wanted to climb up on it but I told her that is belongs to the workmen and is not for little children. She seemed satisfied with that response…
Katie has learned to put her toy table up to the Christmas tree for added height. She is now plucking the tree clean of all the ornaments…
The Caillou program finished this evening and I asked Katie to bring me the remote so I could change the channel so she could see “Curious George”. She did so promptly. Funny how she can do this when it benefits her…but not when I want to watch the news…
Katie loves to climb up on top of my file folders and jump on them. They are not going to last long at this rate so I’m going to have to find a safe place to put them. My “safe places” to hide and put stuff are gradually shrinking in the house…
I got some strawberries for Katie at Trader Joe’s today. These ones were from Florida as opposed to California and were red and juicy…not the whitish “plastic” looking ones we used to get. Katie loved them…she might finish off the whole box today.
