Day #740 (Fri., Jan. 13, 2012) – Construction Paper

I’m taking the monitor this evening/morning so that my wife can have a good sleep. Katie got up at 2am and I made her some milk and a snack. She’s downed the milk but the snack phase is not going to well. She can peel stickers off the backing now and we are in the process of putting stickers on “everything”. She ended up going back to bed shortly after 3:30am.

Another class at Briarcliff Elementary. I will be working next week so this will be the last time I will be able to attend. They brought out some “fake snow”…some substance that you mix water with. They also had some crayons and construction paper and of course Katie took to this like a duck to water. Miss Sue and Miss Dana are the two teachers who run the class.

I had to run some errands at Wal-Mart today so I took the opportunity to get some construction paper like Katie was drawing on at class this morning. I also picked up a packet of 24 washable crayons. Katie loves to hold and organize her crayons…as you can see in the photo to the left.

Katie is having dinner now. She just took some fish that she was munching on and put it on daddy’s plate. I said “yuck” and Katie is having a great time repeating it now. I think it is her new favorite word.

Katie still likes the Lawrence Welk version of “Turkey In The Straw” but she insists that my wife and I join her in the dance these days. She wants us to all join hands and dance in a circle. If one of us is not there she will come and get us.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
