Day #761 (Fri., Feb. 3, 2012) – Best School Day Yet
My wife tells me that this was the best day yet as far as Katie and school goes. They did some painting and Katie just loved it. When it came time to clean up she went along with it no problem. She even sat still for storytime. The teachers told my wife to tell me what a good girl Katie was today.
Take a look at the photo to the left. This barn sorting toy has been around for quite a while but Katie has taken an interest in putting the animals in the front in their proper places as of late. My wife told me that she put them into their proper spot but realized that they were not facing her so she took them out and put them so that they were all facing her. This child is amazing…
On the way home from work I met my wife and Katie at our neighborhood pool. Katie ran up to the car and made me go back to the playground with her so that I could see her go down the slide a couple of times.
My wife went to bed early as she was tired so I tended to Katie this evening. I tried to put her to bed one time…but here it is 11:19pm and we are watching “Little Bear” on television. I made some warm milk and a bowl of goodies (i.e.: oyster crackers with raisins) for her to munch on. She doesn’t appear to like the milk or oyster crackers too much, but the raisins seem to be big sellers. At least she is getting something into her stomach. Hopefully it will be enough for her to sleep…
11:49pm – I just managed to put Katie to bed…but she insisted on taking her bowl of oyster crackers and raisins to bed with her. Perhaps she plans an early morning snack? Anyway, heaven knows what the nursery will look like tomorrow morning…
