Day #785 (Mon., Feb. 27, 2012) – Katie’s New Home?
It was raining when I left for work and it rained for most of the day so Ramona could not take Katie out to the park. For some reason Katie has taken to spinning around like a top til she gets dizzy (see photo to the left).
When I came home from work Katie was sprawled out on my bed watching “Wow Wow Wuzzby” with a flag in each hand. My wife tells me that she was marching around with flags today.
We’re thinking more and more about the house on the side of the hill that we saw in Chapel Hill on Saturday. No other house we saw was like it. It has a commanding view of the hillside and brook from the backyard. We’re sure that Katie would have a lot of adventures there.
We met a neighbor when we were there and she said that it is a tight knit community. A lot of families have lived there for 20, 30, and even 40 years. She asked us if we saw the cars on the side of the road as we were entering the dead-end road. I guess one of the children had just turned three and was having a birthday party. Maybe Katie will be invited there next year?
