Day #798 (Sun., Mar. 11, 2012) – Davis Street Playground
My wife told me that if you are having having problems getting Katie to eat just heat up a hot dog. She will usually go for one of those (as you can see in the photo to the right).
I took Katie out to the playground this afternoon. Since we will soon be leaving Cary we are thinking it will be good to visit the Cary parks as much as possible. Who knows when we will get back this way? I took Katie to the playground off Davis Street that I saw in passing a while back. She enjoyed running around and trying the various areas out, but nothing really took. She did go for a swing ride 2-3 times. Eventually she decided that she had enough and just started to walk back to the car. I’m not sure how she knew what direction the car was in…this is the first time she has been to this park. This kid never ceases to amaze me.
My wife and I got talking about the back yard of our new home and whether or not we should get a new swing set. I don’t really want to get one of those big wooden “monstrosities” as they are expensive and hard to put up and especially…the novelty seems to wear off real quick and the kids lose interest. Maybe a smaller swing set with a slide (like we had growing up) would be better? We’ll see how it goes. You could probably get something pretty cheap on Craigslist.
Katie came and asked my wife to watch the fishing show this evening. We figured out that it was the Oswald episode in which they go fishing.
