Day #828 (Tue., Apr. 10, 2012) – Settling In
Katie got to spend her first night in the new house last night. She slept pretty well, but I think she doesn’t consider it her home…just yet…
I was talking to Ramona about parks today. We are going to need to find a good one to take Katie. Cary (a family-based community) was loaded with parks but I don’t think I have ever seen one in Chapel Hill (a University-based student community). We’ll find one…just might take some time…
Katie went daisy picking in her new home today. She came back with five daisy flowers and took great delight in counting them. I think that Team Umazoomi, which focuses on counting, is really helping her out.
This evening Katie got to see the deer roaming in our backyard. Our neighbor told us that they have their own walking paths, and they were in the exact location at the exact time when I saw them on Saturday night. Katie said something like “They’re eating”…which was true.
This evening Katie decided that she wanted to do some drumming, so I utilized the implements in the photo to the left. As I drummed away she danced on the play mats in the main bedroom.
