Day #852 (Fri., May 4, 2012) – Colored Popsicle Sticks

I went to the Dollar Store at lunch today and picked up all sorts of goodies for Katie. I don’t plan on giving them all to Katie this evening, but will spread these “Special Presents” out over the next several days.
This evening’s “Special Present” was a bag of colored popsicle sticks. We used to get them from the local dairy when we were kids, but now they sell them in the Dollar Store and other stores for crafts and such. When I was younger I used to make this triangle sort of shape that would fall apart when it hit the ground. These didn’t quite fall apart as dramatically as I had hoped as they seem to be a bit more plastic-like…but Katie had fun with the process none-the-less. I was quite amazed at how she could sort them all by color.
My wife was having a hard time putting Katie to bed this evening so I took over. I made a lunch for Katie and then we went to the bedroom to watch “Team Umazoomi” and eat it. The snack was a couple of pieces of cheese, a cut up apple, and some raisins. She asked me to go to the kitchen and get her some more cheese so that will tell you what the winning food was.
