Day #854 (Sun., May 6, 2012) – The Weed Wacker

I took Katie to the park this morning. As I was getting ready to go Katie came up to me and said “I’m ready daddy”. At the park Katie wanted to spend a lot of time on the swing. It was misty rainy a bit so I wasn’t sure how long we were going to be out.

On the way home from the park Katie kept asking for “mushy”. I wasn’t sure what it was…but that’s her name for her sleeping sack. It was home leaning against a chair and she was so happy to locate it.

The guys came today to cut out the ivy today. Katie was fascinated by the “weed wacker” so we had to stop and take a look at that. At first she was scared of the noise but soon got used to it.

We called up my mother this afternoon and she got to see Katie dancing about.

Katie decided that she was going to paint her hands this evening (as you can see in the photo to the left).

I took Katie for a walk down Cedar Street this evening. She said that she was scared by the sound of the distant motorcycle but I told her to not be afraid of it…daddy was here… We picked some flowers and on the way back Katie found the cord from the weed wacker. I had to explain to her what it was.
