Day #890 (Mon., June 11, 2012) – Katie Still Has A Fever
Katie still has her fever. Strange…she is fine once the fever goes down and doesn’t exhibit any other signs of sickness.
Just before I left for work today I gave Katie a “Special Present”…a set of modelling clay that I got at the Dollar Store the other day. They are the same size and different colors so she will have fun organizing them.
I went to the Dollar Store at lunch time today and got Katie a pencil case. She loved the pencils that I gave her last night (also from the Dollar Store)…it’s only natural that she has some place to keep them.
This evening Katie and I (me mostly) made a series of clay “snails” (see photo to the right) out of the clay I gave her this morning. She said “snails” because of the shape…but they could have easily been clay “Cinnamon Buns”…
My wife has to get up to go to work at 8am so I took over “Katie duties”. We were on the bed making a series of clay snakes out of the clay snails when the Los Angeles Kings beat the New Jersey Devils to get their first ever Stanley Cup. After a bit of celebrating I packed up Katie, her bucket of clay snakes, and took her to bed…around 11:15pm?
