Happy Father’s Day…for real this time. For some reason we thought last Sunday was Father’s Day but today is the real deal. Busy people with a sick toddler can do that to you I guess…
My wife wanted to clean up the place today so it was my turn to take Katie out to the park. I was wondering if there is not a new place to take her and the idea “Why not try the local elementary school” came to me…so off we went. As it turns out the elementary school was wide open. There was already a family with two children there and they said that they come there all the time. Katie enjoyed putting pieces of wood and rocks on this little seat and spinning it around til they fell off.
I made Katie a treasure chest out of construction paper today. You can see it in the photo to the right.
This evening, after Katie’s nap, we bundled her up and went to Moe’s for dinner. All three of us split a quesadilla, junior burrito, and water for under $12. Pretty cheap night out. After Katie had her fill of sniffing the nearby flowers we were off to Yogurt Pump. Two frozen yogurts for about $5.38 and we sat on the chairs outside of Caribou Coffee. All in all, a cheap night out for under $20.
On the way home we stopped off at the Elementary School Playground again so I could show it to my wife. Katie got out and had a good run and we took the path down to the Middle School soccer field. On the way back we got to see some fireflies and talked to a lady who was out walking her black labrador retriever.
