Day #898 (Tue., June 19, 2012) – Whiny At 6
This cold/flu has a real hold on me so I stayed home from work. I got some antibiotics from the doctor so this should really kick it out of my system.
It’s hard to keep our little gymnast on the ground (as you can see in the photo to the right).
I’ve been noticing that Katie usually gets whiny and has a bit of a temper tantrum around 6pm. Not sure why. She gets up in the morning and is a really happy child. Even after her little whiny spell at 6 we know that we are still in for a few more hours (at least) of her energetic lifestyle til we are able to put her to bed. It just seems that those hours around dinner time are the most “emotional”, if that’s the right word.
My wife tells me that Katie had a pile of letters and numbers and picked the letters out of the pile so that only the numbers were left…so she obviously knows what the numerical digits look like.
This evening I had a damp washcloth on my head to help soothe my aching head. Katie thought it was quite funny and took to laughing. I asked her if she wanted me to wash her face with it. “No” was her immediate response.
