Day #946 (Mon., Aug. 6, 2012) – Unravel The Dental Floss
This evening we bundled up Katie and took her to YoPop for some “Frozen Sugar”. It was a tough day for mom and dad and we all wanted to get out and rest a bit. It was sprinkling rain so we could not take her to the park, so we decided to go for a drive. In the photo to the left you can see Katie struggling with an umbrella.
We ended up taking MLK North…and ended up in Hillsborough. We then turned left and after entering Durham we took 15-501 south. Katie wanted to go to the park…but it was raining. No amount of explaining this fact would stop her from crying. As you can imagine it was a very loud and wild drive home.
One thing that did hold Katie’s attention and prevented her from crying for a while was the roll of dental floss that I keep in the car. Unfortunately Katie figured out that it was rolled up inside the holder and decided to unravel it. What a mess…
Once we entered our neighborhood we saw our neighbors taking Helen out for a stroll in her raincoat. We stopped the car so that Katie could say hi, but as soon as we continued on home she started up crying again…
