Day #962 (Wed., Aug. 22, 2012) – Getting Groceries For Guests
Katie was up at 4am and woke up daddy. My wife had to go to a meeting this morning so I took over…our energetic child was not to go to bed without a fight. We watched a bit of television and read a few books and about 30 minutes later I asked her which book she wanted to take to bed with her. She picked on, and I put her in the crib. Off to bed…
A drawing book (see photo to the left) came in the mail today…it teaches you how to draw everyday objects like houses and trucks and cars and trees. It’s a good foundation to learn how to draw so hopefully Katie will build on it as she grows older.
We have guests coming tomorrow night so tonight my wife and I bundled up Katie and took her to Trader Joe’s for supplies. The last time we took her it was a bit of a disaster as both of us tried to shop and watch Katie at the same time. This evening I knew exactly what we needed so I shopped while my wife watched Katie.
This evening Katie took out her medical kit and did an exam on daddy. She went through the motions but seemed most fascinated with the blood pressure device.
Our guests tomorrow night have a boy who is a few years older than Katie. Heaven knows how we are going to get her to go to sleep with all the excitement that will probably follow…
