Day #77 (Sun., Mar. 21, 2010) – Little Katie’s First Swing Ride
9:40am – I just finished taking a video of little Katie on the baby playmat. She was hiccuping while squeaking and hitting and kicking the stuffed animals and things that surround her. That should be a real precious video one day.
I took little Katie in the harness for another trip around the neighborhood. My wife stayed home so she could study. We saw some purple flowers on our way and I put the stems under her little hat. She now looks very “girlish” with flowers in her hair.
On the way back we saw a swing along the lake (see photo to the right), and little Katie had her first swing ride today. Not sure what she thought of it. She seems so enthralled with the whole “tour of the neighborhood in the holster” experience and this was just one segment of the overall experience.
As I was walking home I saw a couple with their young child outside doing some gardening. They came down to the entrance to their driveway to talk to me. They were very nice, and the lady said that if my wife wanted to stop by sometime for a visit feel free. I’ll pass the news on to her.
9:00pm – Little Katie has found a new toy…my keys. I hold them over her head where she can see them and jiggle them back and forth. She is fascinated with them and starts to mouth and kick and scream and squeal. Not sure if it is the sound. Not sure if it is the sight. Not sure if it is because they are new. All I know is that she likes them and that is good enough for me.
