Day #78 (Mon., Mar. 22, 2010) – African Violet
8pm – My wife was balancing little Katie on her lap and laughing. Little Katie saw her laughing and gave a big smile and “whoooo” into the air. It was very funny, and this caused my wife to laugh, which caused little Katie to laugh, etc.
On the way home I picked up an African Violet for my wife at Trader Joe’s. She loves the color burgundy. Check out the photo on the left.
My wife just said that one of the ways she realizes how much little Katie is growing is how she outgrows her outfits. At first she has to roll back the sleeves over her little hands…then she uses the regular sleeve length…then it’s time for a new outfit.
I picked up my Camry from the mechanic this evening…he was able to fix the problem with the windshield wipers. It was nice to have my car back…it’s such a great ride. Time to celebrate! I took my wife and child for a drive around the city. We were gone for about an hour. Little Katie was awake when we got home…this was a first. She is usually sleeping soundly.
