Day #1027 (Fri., Oct. 26, 2012) – DreamLite
I stopped off at the Dollar Store at noon today to buy treats for the kids who will be coming to our house on Halloween night. The idea is that they will be getting plenty of candy from our neighbors…so why not create treat bags of little toys. I got these little toys mostly from the party supplies section.
While at the Dollar Store I picked up some brown lunch bags. I thought that Katie could add some color to them with her paints but when we tested the process out tonight we decided against it. A little bit too “strangely designed”…even for Halloween.
Katie has been complaining about the dark as of late so my wife purchased a DeamLite for her (see photo to the right). It’s a little plush animal (Katie got the butterfly) that has a light attached to its back. You can turn it on and it will display stars on the ceiling in different colors. It will illuminate the room enough so that the child is no longer in complete darkness and turns itself off after 20 minutes.
This evening we decided to get out of the house so we went to Maple Dairy Farms for an ice cream. There were families with a bunch of boys there. They were rather rough and totally ignored Katie…but she ran around having fun with them nonetheless.
