Day #1030 (Mon., Oct. 29, 2012) – Dancing Shoes
It’s rainy and it’s Monday. Know what that means? It’s nature explorer day! Nature explorer day is every second Monday but it always seems to be raining on that day.
When I got home from work my wife had done quite a bit of decorating. The tables were arranged in the dining room area and the Halloween table cloths draped over them (see photo to the left). She had defined where the plates and various dishes would go. Along with the black and orange balloons we got at the Dollar Store yesterday we are almost ready to go.
My wife decided to dress Katie up this evening and take some pictures of her for Dini, one of our friends at the Focal Point Gallery. Once Katie got those shoes on and figured out that they made clicking sounds…watch out. She was a dancing machine! We got lots of action photos and photos of her laughing and dancing about. Surely there is at least one gem out of the collection.
While Katie was dancing about Hurricane Sandy was coming ashore at the New Jersey shoreline.
Last night I see that Little Bear’s “Goblin Night” episode recorded so Katie snuggled on my lap and we watched that just before she went to bed. This was one of her favorite episodes from last year and I remember her watching it and laughing with delight when we were living in our house in Cary.
