Day #1062 (Fri., Nov. 30, 2012) – Chapel Hill Consignment Sale
Rebecca’s friend (Leah) also babysits…a little girl called May. May’s brother goes to Katie’s school and this is how my wife got to meet her. When she asked Leah if she wanted to babysit Katie she mentioned that her friend Rebecca was looking for someone to babysit. This is how the situation developed.
Anyway, Katie went to the park today and played with May. May went to the toilet so we’re hoping that this will give the “hint” to Katie. Positive peer pressure if you will.
My wife went to a consignment sale in Chapel Hill and came back with quite the haul. Items such as:
- Miniature Mr. Potato Head (see photo to the right)
- Magnetic Red Barn
- New Shoes
- Mickey Mouse Viewmaster Slides
- Baking Tins For Christmas Cakes
- Painting & Macrame Books
- Etc.
There was a piece on the news this evening about Mr. Obama visiting a toy factory in Pennsylvania called “K’nex”. Here’s one for 3+ toddlers. Might be a good Christmas gift for her.
I was tired tonight so I “crashed” on the couch. Katie was hovering over me at various points with Play Doh, animals, etc. She woke me up but I was soon “out again”.
