Day #1094 (Tue., Jan. 1, 2013) – Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Katie! She is up early this morning. My wife sent me the following email:
6:00 am, Katie saw my mom eating nuts, so asked for the nuts. While eating: “Mommy, why are nuts so nutty this morning?”
When I got up my wife was beat so she went back to bed for a quick nap and I took care of Katie.
I tried to get her to eat or drink something but to no avail. We ended up playing with the big cardboard box in the middle of the living room. We pretended it was a spaceship. Katie got into it and I pushed her around. When it started to break up I reinforced it with duct tape. Once this adventure had run its course Katie said that she wanted to decorate her tree and started to put tree ornaments on it. As she needed hooks for the side of the box I made some out of clothespins, pipe cleaners, and even Duplo blocks. You can see a photo of the finished result to the right…
Katie brought out the measuring tape and measured me this afternoon. She said that I’m supposed to be a 10 o’clock.
