It was a busy day for my wife at Katie’s preschool. Not only did she have to drop Katie off, but there were a number of “odds and ends” to take care of regarding the birthday party on Saturday. For starters, today was my wife’s turn to provide snacks for the kids (see photo to the right), so that had to be taken care of. Next up on the agenda was the two bags of party favors my wife took for the two kids who were not able to make it to Katie’s party.
My wife was beat this evening so she asked me to run some errands. I stopped off at Michael’s to see about “food grade” popsicle sticks. They said that they had them…but they did not. Across the street at Kroger’s they said that they had them as well…but nobody knew where they were. I ended up getting some bamboo sticks…that will work nicely to keep the sandwich snacks together for the preschool on Wednesday.
The next stop was Trader Joe’s as we are running out of supplies. I did manage to get many of the staples but it seems that Monday is not much better than Sunday evening in regards to selection. I seem to recall that they said that Tuesday morning was the best time to go shopping as the trucks came in the previous night.
I went to bed a bit after 9pm and Katie was crying so much and saying that she wanted her daddy that she woke me up. By that time my wife was done, so I took over while she went to bed. We started off by watching a bit of television (Katie wanted to see Charlie Brown Christmas) and after reading one of the Golden Books that Lucy gave us on Saturday Katie was ready for bed as well. It was about 11:45pm
