Day #1137 (Wed., Feb. 13, 2013) – Valentine’s Day At Pre-School

Katie drank some milk while she sat on the master bed this morning. That’s a good sign. If her tummy is full before she leaves for school she will generally not be fussy…

They are celebrating “Valentine’s Day” at Katie’s preschool today. My wife packed up a little bag of Valentine’s gifts to give Katie’s classmates. All the other parents will be doing the same. The teachers will sort out these gifts and give a bag of them to each child as they leave class today.

2013-02-13 – Katie’s Gifts
When I got home from work today Katie showed me the bag of gifts that she got from the other children (see photo to the right). There were stickers, lollipops, a friendship bracelet, cards, etc. I think that Katie liked the Hershey kiss of chocolate the most…judging by the smile on her face as she put it into her mouth…

The “tag team” was up and running this evening. I went to bed early in case my wife had problems putting Katie to bed…and this proved to be a wise move. Around 11pm my wife brought Katie into the bedroom and handed her off to me. She didn’t look tired in the least. We watched a bit of “Pound Puppies” and I gave her a bottle of warm milk and a dish of cheese, TJ’s Rockets, and raisins (she loved the raisins). Soon we were in the living room putting puzzles together. She didn’t want to go to bed but eventually I coaxed her into the bedroom with a quick rendition of the “Llama Misses Mamma” book. Soon she was out… It was 12:10am…
