Day #1145 (Thu., Feb. 21, 2013) – The “Doggie In The Window” Song
I played a bit of “Yankee Doodle” on guitar for Katie this evening. She knew the song but was watching television so she was not in the mood to sing or dance. No matter…she’ll feel like it one day.
I taught Katie another song this evening…”How Much Is That Doggie In The Window”. Katie calls it the doggie song.
We picked up the “Magnet School” (see photo to the left) a while back, but gave it to Katie today. She really doesn’t like it as much as we thought she would. The letters don’t fit into the cards very securely and that frustrates her.
My wife was not feeling well so she went to bed early. I tended to Katie. We played with Duplo blocks a lot this evening…building zoos for the various plastic animals.
Around 10pm Katie said that she wanted “Goblin Night” and some cheerios and raisins. I offer avocado and other goodies but she was insistent, so cheerios and raisins it is. I did manage to work a bottle of milk into the deal as well.
I started putting Katie to sleep around 10pm but she was having nothing to do with it. She cried out for me and I went to get her. As she was leaving her bedroom she said “I don’t want to sleep…I want to play all the time.” We played some more puzzles and such.
11:15pm…let’s try to put Katie to sleep again. As I was leaving the room I kissed Katie and she had me kiss her sheep doll as well… 😉 11:39pm…let’s hope she goes to sleep this time.
