Day #1223 (Fri., May 10, 2013) – Bye Bye Becca

2013-05-10 - Garden StrawberryOur babysitter Becca is going to be working days soon so we will be needing a new babysitter. We asked our former babysitter, Ramona, but she will not be available for the whole summer. Back to the babysitter hunting process…

As you can tell from the photo to the left, our garden is producing some great strawberries.

My wife took Katie to the pottie this evening and Katie said: “When I was your age I used to flush the bigger poops”.

This evening I lit the citronella candle on the patio to shoo away the mosquitoes. Katie and I sat at the table and chairs and drew a photo of a “Katie Bear Sea Monster” and colored it in. My wife stayed inside the house initially looking for a replacement for Becca.

I explained to Katie how hot the candle was and that she was not to touch it…or the hot wax dripping from it. She looked very intently as she soaked all this information in.

Soon my wife joined us and all three of us has some vanilla ice cream on the patio.
