Day #1227 (Tue., May 14, 2013) – Meeting Alexa

2013-05-14 - Tomato FlowersAs you can see in the photo to the left, our tomatoes are growing quite well. They are hanging from the roof of the gazebo frame…so hopefully this will keep all the bugs and worms at bay.

At 7pm this evening we met Alexa, a girl who is apply to be Katie’s new babysitter. She is a delightful girl, speaks French, and Katie really took to her. Two definite signs of this:

1) She asked Alexa to play “Jungle Animals” with her.
2) She asked her to go to the potty with her.

Alexa used to babysit an autistic child so she has a lot of patience. Katie can be difficult at times, but I’m sure she will not be as trying…

This evening Katie saw daddy eating some potato chips so you know she wanted some. My wife took her to the bathroom to do her business and as soon as she came back she saw daddy with an empty bowl. “I want some potato chips” she said…so I went and got her a bowl.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) Katie has a new babysitter…Alexa.
