Day #1229 (Thu., May 16, 2013) – Wedding Anniversary Lunch
Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary, but since our babysitter will not be available to work tomorrow my wife and I decided that we would take the opportunity and have lunch today instead. In this way we can have the added bonus of not only having lunch together, but not having to pay any additional dollars for a sitter for Katie. We ended up at the Sage Restaurant. Good meal…but probably not worth $44 for lunch…
The photo to the left shows the Raspberry Sorbet that we get from Trader Joe’s. Katie thinks it is “strawberry”…
Katie has started to say “When I was your age”. This is in response to me saying “When I was your age I used to watch these Spiderman cartoons”. Similar to the fact that she often confused genders, like referring to Becca as him, she doesn’t have the concept down yet that I was her age…but she was never my age…
Katie wanted to go visit Helen this evening so she was in rare form. We find that if she doesn’t eat she gets extremely fussy. The key is to getting her to eat. Once she eats she calms down.
Still trying to get Katie to stop jumping on our bed. We have that old foam mattress in the bedroom (specifically kept there for Katie to jump on), but I think the “forbidden fruit” of the new mattress is just too tempting for her.
