Day #1240 (Mon., May 27, 2013) – Cleaning The House
This morning Steve, our neighbor, came by to check out our gas grass trimmers. One is hard to start and one has a broken fuel line. In the end he didn’t want either one, so I guess we will give them to the guys who trim the ivy around our house. We plan to get a rechargeable battery operated grass trimmer…they are just so convenient!
For Katie’s nap today she wore her Dora Explorer Pull-ups (instead of diapers) for the first time. After her nap Katie saw a cricket on the wall in the bedroom. She was fixated on it and nothing could calm her mind. In the end I had to capture it in a jar and take it out on the patio and free it.
Tomorrow is Becca’s last day with us. I didn’t want to give her a hard day on her last day, so I spent the evening cleaning up the house. With Katie into “scissors” these days there were pieces of paper everywhere. Quite the job, but it was sure nice to get it done. The photo to the left shows the “before” and “after” shots.
I was hoping that Katie would give me a break and go to bed early this evening. Sure… I ended up putting her to bed close to midnight.
