Day #1253 (Sun., Jun 9, 2013) – Splash And Slide
9:34 am. – Katie is chasing Zach with a paper crown in her hand. She shut all the doors in the hallway. When my wife asked her why, the reply was: “because I want him to be my gorgeous prince”. She put her sleeping sack on his head: “Now you are a gorgeous ghost!”
This afternoon Katie started rubbing her face with a wet tissue. “You know, Mom, I am going to a kid’s party. And you are not invited because you are an adult. It’s going to be a beautiful night tonight!”
When I got up from my nap my wife and Katie were out on the front lawn playing in our inflatable swimming pool. This is the first time we have inflated it since we left Cary. My wife also got out the “Splash And Slide” that she got from Amazon. Katie had a blast! See photo to the left.
Later this afternoon I went to get some supplies and stopped off at Rite Aid Drugstore. I saw a set of squirt guns that are easier to load than the squirt guns we used to have as a child. I got them for Katie but she was already done with swimming for the day. Oh well, they will be there ready for her next swimming excursion.
