Day #1269 (Tue., Jun 25, 2013) – The Day After
I drove to Halifax this morning to see about getting my passport renewed. Since it recently expired I will have to fill out the long form. I’m thinking I won’t get it renewed…might as well just use my American passport for now.
I thought I would show you what the Art Linkletter Encyclopedia’s look like (see photo to the left).
Spent the afternoon and evening figuring out what to keep and what to throw away. I have three piles: (1) Stuff to send to North Carolina, (2) Stuff to throw away, (3) Stuff my sister can store for me…if she wants to throw it out at some point, fine.
Meanwhile, back in North Carolina:
Katie woke up at 5 am all up and ready to go! My wife thinks three nights on Benadryl gave her too much rest… She put her back to bed at 5:30am or so, but it took her a good hour to finally fall asleep. She would be quiet for 10 minutes, then would start talking gain, etc… Luckily, my wife had no meeting today, so she slept until 8:50 am! Tomorrow she will be going to a 9am meeting, so she hopes for a better night…
Katie woke up at 9:10 am – that was a surprise, my wife thought she’d be sleeping until 10 am. Alexa took her to the museum. Another surprise – Katie didn’t nap today! We spent time outside watering the flowers, making the ‘soup’ and feeding the horsey (my car). Jui-Lan stopped by to visit us. Katie invited herself to visit Jui-Lan tomorrow… 🙂 Katie is playing in the tub now, all happy and cheerful – I don’t get it. She should be crashing by now… I am! 🙂
The Spiderman book came yesterday – Katie cannot get enough of it. 🙂 She fell asleep at 10:30 pm, at 11 pm my wife went to her room to shut the light off, she woke up, jumped up and asked me to read a Spiderman book again. My wife did and she fell asleep right away.
