Day #1312 (Wed., Aug. 7, 2013) – The Babysitter Next Door
Since Katie is no longer napping we need to find someone to take care of her in the afternoons. My wife can do it a bit, but since she has to work too a babysitter is a much better solution. Today is the first day for Izzi, the girl next door. She will be taking care of Katie from 1:30pm – 5:00pm for this and next week. Since she is only 13 years old she is unable to drive a car so they mostly just play around the house.
Katie is still into looking for a present from daddy each evening. That’s something I’ll have to break her of. She can’t expect a present everytime daddy comes home from work.
This evening Katie brought in a big bucket of acorns from outside. We made a special Duplo acorn holder and loader and an acorn train in the evening (see photo to the right).
Katie is into tickling this evening for some reason. I guess it’s a way to get close to daddy.
