Day #1329 (Sat., Aug. 24, 2013) – Moe’s & Ice Cream
I had some work I needed to get done today so my wife took Katie to the park across from East Chapel Hill High School herself. A lot of the “Fish” class was meeting there and Katie got a chance to see her future and former classmates. She fell a couple of times I guess so she had a couple of “boo boo’s”.
This evening my wife and I packed up Katie and took her to Moe’s for a couple of burritos. We then gave Katie a choice between going to the Dollar Store or going for ice cream or both. She chose ice cream so off we went to YoPop. Afterwards she wanted to see the birds so off to the next door hardware store. They were closed but the man opened up the door so Katie could say hi to the birds for a few minutes. I had Katie thank the man as we were leaving.
At home Katie got three presents. First some silly string. When that didn’t last long I gave her a toy where you shoot a cylinder wheel that glows in the dark into the air. The final toy was a set of jewelry pieces (see photo to the left) that you interconnect…she played with that for quite a while.
I went to bed early this evening and my wife woke me up around 11:15pm. She was tired and couldn’t take it anymore so I took over tending to Katie. We played “desert animals” (a welcome change from “jungle animals”) and watched a bit of Cinderella on television. She was to bed by 1am…
