Day #102 (Thu., Apr. 15, 2010) – Baby Swing to the Rescue
Tax day today. Little Katie will learn all about it one day.
Another walk around the lake for little Katie today. This time she wore her new baby hat that my wife got for her on eBay. It’s a bit big…so when it drooped over her eyes at one point she let out a scream. Something was obstructing her view of the universe and she wanted me to know about it.
My wife had to meet with her advisor this evening so it was me and little Katie. She put her in the swing just before she left, and little Katie was “eyes wide open” examining the world. Two hours later, when my wife came home, little Katie was still in the swing, sleeping well, like a baby. I just love this swing. I was kidding with my wife that perhaps we should get one or two more…as backups in case this one fails.
We are trying to put little Katie to bed by 8pm these days. I haven’t had to take her out for a midnight drive to calm down in quite a while…so I think it might be working.
Remember the “Take Your Turn” book that I mentioned yesterday? Well little Katie really likes the page shown in the photo to the right. It deals with Pooh and Tigger and has a “bouncy” sound when you click on the button indicated by the red arrow. Little Katie will smile and squirm like mad…I think it’s the “bouncy” sound she likes the most.
8:45pm and I”m beat…time for bed!
