Day #1337 (Sun., Sept. 1, 2013) – The Neighbors For Dinner
Katie and I spent a lot of time making decorations (see photo to the left).
I set the oven timer for 5 more minutes til I put Katie to bed this afternoon. About 1 minute before it went off my wife got up from her nap. When I said I might go for a nap now Katie replied “That’s okay daddy, I can get along without you now…mom is here to play with me”. How lucky can you get. She was about 1 minute away from nap time when my wife woke up.
We had our neighbors Ju-Lan and Mike over for dinner this evening. Katie greeted them at the door with “Welcome To Our Home” (a phrase that I taught her). After dinner she had Mike down on the floor playing Jungle Animals til he could take it no more (I warned him that she would wear her our with it). As they were leaving Katie gave them a Christmas tree decoration that we made earlier in the day.
This evening my wife went to bed around 11pm and I tended to Katie. After I put her to bed for the first time she yelled out from her bedroom “Daddy, your child is hungry”. I fed her some purple cheese, and she watched the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, drank some milk and then off to bed again. 12:15am and she is out…
