Day #1339 (Tue., Sept. 3, 2013) – School Meeting
My wife and I had a meeting this evening at Katie’s school We had to bring Katie’s supplies and hear all the instructions as tomorrow is her first day at school as a “Fish”. Izzi, the neighbor girl down the road, babysat Katie while we attended the meeting. We got the chance to see the new playground Katie will be enjoying this year (see photo to the left).
There are a few changes to the entrance this year. No longer will the children be coming up the elevator to meet the parents at the top floor. Now there is a separate entrance to the school. It provides wheelchair access, but I guess the main reason for all the changes was for security purposes.
We needed to wash Katie’s hair this evening in preparation for school day tomorrow. As usual she doesn’t like to have her hair shampooed so we made a deal. If she lets mommy wash her hair then daddy will give her a “Special Present”. We don’t want to bribe her all the time but sometimes it does make things easier. I gave her some laser stickers of fish and underwater creatures.
