Day #1340 (Wed., Sept. 4, 2013) – First Day Of School
Today is Katie’s first day of school. She is a fish this year (last year she was a turtle). Elery and her played on the airplane in the playyard (see photo to the left)…it was an object of envy last year when she was a turtle. My wife got the following email from Elery’s mom:

Haha! I asked Eleri if she made any new friends, and she said, “Katie.” They will be seeing a lot of each other soon! Eleri was soooo nonchalant about preschool. I asked her how school was and she said, “Fine. I’m a fish.”

This evening Katie wanted a “Special Present” from daddy but I didn’t have one. Fortunately my wife had an activity book that came in the mail. Katie and I spent some time putting the stickers into it.
This evening Katie and I took turns playing “tag” and “hide and seek”. This tends to tucker Katie out, which is a good thing when you are trying to put her to bed.
