Day #1354 (Wed., Sept. 18, 2013) – Fussy Fussy Katie
It looks like the lack of sleep has finally gotten the best of Katie. She has been fussy, fussy all day. On the way home from school today she told my wife that she “Wanted to go to bed”. Stephanie came to babysit her this afternoon and even she noted that she was “Interesting” today.
This is “Letter L” week in Katie’s class. They will be learning a new letter each week and they start with L as it is easy to make (see photo to the left) and draw.
When I got home it seemed that everything and anything would set Katie off. If you made any sort of a comment that she felt was not proper she would scrunch her nose and do that “Hmmmph” she has perfected by now.
I had a plan to get her tired. When she fussed and whined and moaned I would tickle her. She would laugh and when it was all over she would fuss and whine and moan some more. At one point she went out to the kitchen and when she came back she was begging for more…
Katie and I played a game of hide and seek this evening. I hid in the washer/dryer area and Katie could not find me. She thought that was a great hiding place so she said let me hide and left the room. She was soon back to the washer/dryer area and as I was still in it she figured out that would not work…I needed to leave first.
