Day #1367 (Tue., Oct. 1, 2013) – Target Halloween
My wife was up from about 12:30am to 3:25am this morning…Katie wouldn’t sleep. Here’s the dialog that they had:
Katie: Do you know about vampires.
My wife: No, Katie, I don’t.
Katie: But I can teach you! Once upon time in a far away country there was a ghost. Long long time ago there was a vampire and she had a scary friend of her.
Katie made quite the block display today (see photo to the right).
On the way home from work I stopped off at Trader Joe’s to get some cookies for the upcoming Spaghetti Social at Katie’s school.
When I got home from work this evening Katie was watching Scooby-Doo…an episode about vampires…and I started to kiss her. She turned to me and said why don’t you go kiss a vampire. We got a laugh out of that.
This evening we bundled up Katie and took her to see the Halloween decorations at Target. The plan was to eat at Moe’s first but as it was packed we ate at the nearby Subway.
There were lots of animated Halloween items at Target. A talking skull, a twirling skeleton, a pair of eyes in a box that vibrated. Katie enjoyed them all of course. My wife also picked up a number of items for the Halloween packs we will be giving the kids at our Halloween party this year.
