Day #104 (Sat., Apr. 17, 2010) – The Red Bird
I had a hard time sleeping last night and little Katie is up to face the day. So much for a restful daddy today.
My wife is working on her thesis this weekend so it’s “full on daddy time”. Little Katie is in the Rainforest Jumperoo right now and seems to be entertaining herself. She likes the sound the “red bird” (photo to the left) makes when I hit it against the plastic frame.
Instead of the harness I decided that I would take little Katie for a walk around the lake in a stroller. She liked it…but I had to stop every now and then and adjust her hat (it kept falling over her eyes).
I had to do some work in the garage this afternoon and my wife needed to get back to her paper, so as soon as little Katie fell asleep we sprang into action. You need to take advantage of every minute I find…
Another Skype session with my mother this afternoon. Little Katie was fussing a bit but calmed down once we gave her the green soothie pacifier. She must be teething. We find she sucks the cloth on the Rainforest Jumperoo as well.
The evening tradition is live and well. (a) Drive little Katie around the neighborhood, (b) Change her, (c) Feed her, (d) Play with her, (e) Read Pooh book, (f) Play Guitar, (g) Feed again, (h) Put to bed…

1) Little Katie will stop fussing if we give her the green soothy pacifier. She must be teething.
