Day #108 (Wed., Apr. 21, 2010) – The Care Package
Little Katie was fast asleep when I went to work this morning. I didn’t get the chance to give her a good-bye kiss.
We got a package in the mail from my wife’s mother and father. It contained a dress and other clothes for little Katie. It also had a book about a little squirrel (cousin to the chipmunk) and a 30-minute meals cooking book. All of these items will come in handy. You can see a photo of the cover of the squirrel book in the photo to the right.
My wife told me that little Katie likes it when you tickle her on the changing table. You start off with your fingers on her tummy and by the time you work up to her neck she is giggling.
When I got home from work my wife was bathing little Katie and she glanced at me through the mirror with that “Who’s dat” look. I’m not sure if she remembers me when I’m gone all day.
Little Katie was fussing this evening when my wife was changing her. I took out the Pooh book and went through the pages and she cheered up immediately. Something to keep in mind for the future.
