Day #1436 (Mon., Dec. 9, 2013) – Balloon Doggie
Katie has made a pet dog out of one of the yellow Halloween balloons that is a holdover from our Halloween party. She will take it with her and pat it and talk to it. Not sure what’s up with that. Is it her attempt to have us realize how much she would like a dog?
Both my wife and I realize that Katie would probably prefer to have a dog over a cat (or even two cats). Katie, being a physical child, likes to have interactions with animals. Our two kittens have a preference to run and hide when Katie is around. Not to say that they don’t have their physical side mind you … they do like to fight with each other (see photo to the left). Katie actually picked up Robin and brought him to me on the LazyBoy the other day. I was surprised that he didn’t scratch her. Perhaps they are realizing that she doesn’t really mean them harm…she is just, after all, an energetic child.
Katie wanted to play Pictureka this evening. I think it is more of a chance for her to get daddy to play with her more than the actual game itself as the joy with the game soon wears off. She does enjoy playing with the timer though.
