Day #1438 (Wed., Dec. 11, 2013) – Snowman Figure
We had a department Christmas Party at work today. On the tables in front of us, at strategic locations, were little figurines of snowmen. The person sitting right next to me had one in front of her and liked it so much that she took it with her. As I was leaving my boss called me over to his table to talk and right in front of him was another little snowman figure. Nobody wanted it so I took it. In addition to the snowman figure I had a little box with chocolates I won in a raffle at the same event. Out came the chocolates and in went the snowman and “voila”…instant present for Katie (see photo to the left). I gave it to her when I got home from work.
Katie and I played a game of “You Point & I Read” this evening. In this game I turn the page of a book and Katie points to one of the pictures on the page and I read the accompanying captions. This works great with the Art Linkletter Children’s Encyclopedia.
