Day #1492 (Mon., Feb. 3, 2014) – Taking Katie To School
My wife had to leave early for work so I took Katie to school today. It was nice when I got in the car but soon it started to rain. By the time we arrived at Katie’s preschool the rain was coming down pretty hard.
I had a present to give to Molly, the girl who had a birthday party at the park last Friday. Unfortunately bad weather meant that her birthday present didn’t arrive on time so the plan was to take it and give it to her nanny at preschool today. As the present didn’t have a plastic bag around it I wrapped it up in newspaper in order to keep it dry.
I told Katie to point out Molly to me but when she saw Olivia she yelled out “Molly”. I guess she got confused as she was at Olivia’s birthday on Saturday. Luckily Mary was there to sort things out. As Molly is out sick today we put her present in a Trader Joe’s bag and hung it on her hanger. She will get it when she feels better…hopefully on Wednesday.
When it was time to go Katie grabbed me by the hand and wanted me to stay and play with her. I told her I had to go to work and that she should tell Miss April about the Batmobile we made yesterday. She seemed satisfied with that and off to work I went.
Katie has a new cape (see photo to the left). It’s a Superman cape on one side and a Batman cape on the other.
