Day #118 (Sat., May 1, 2010) – More Audio Books

12:54am – I’m up! I went to bed soon after I came home from work. I’m beat. It’s been a long tough week for both my wife and I. Hopefully we will be able to use the weekend to recharge our batteries. Little Katie seems well rested though… 🙂

2:33am – I was watching “Fringe” courtesy of TiVo when I heard this thumping in the baby’s room. My first thought was that a herd of wildebeest was rushing through our house but, silly me, we don’t live in Africa. My next thought was that little Katie was up. She thrashes her arms and legs sometimes when she gets up. I changed her (I can see why we need to get new clothes…you could put an oil tanker into that outfit she was wearing), and by then the milk truck had arrived for an early morning feed.

I drove my wife to a number of errands today. Little Katie was sleeping in the back seat for most of the time, but she did wake up and get fussy towards the end of our trip. She bought a couple of nice outfits for little Katie at JC Penney’s (courtesy of a discount coupon), and picked up some “talking books” similar to the Pooh book that we already own.

This evening I showed little Katie the “talking books” that my wife got her today. She especially seemed to like the one about Thomas the Train (see photo to the left). Given all the books available these days I’m not exactly sure what the magical appeal is, but Thomas the Train has been popular with children for years…

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) Little Katie loves her talking picture books.
