Day #1553 (Sat., Apr. 5, 2014) – Easter Egg Hunt
We went to an Easter Egg Hunt in Chapel Hill this morning (see photo to the right). It was not very well organized. It started late as a lady was telling everyone that no adults were allowed on the field and once they started all the adults ran onto the field…go figure. Katie got scared being in this crowd of people, but at least she did what daddy said “Look for the gold eggs or the eggs with numbers on them”. She did pick up a dark green egg with a number on it but unfortunately it fell out of her basket as she was running and a little boy picked it up. She picked up a lot of candy…which she seemed to enjoy the most.
We then stopped off at Moe’s for lunch and to the Home Depot to look at the flowers. My wife picked up a hanging basket loaded with strawberries for our patio.
The guys are here to work on the shed today and we all went down to see them a number of times. They worked way into the night but the roof is on now. In order to coax Katie away from the workers I told her that daddy had a present for her. It was a little wind up chick that I got at the Dollar Store. Soon we were looking for batteries for her robot…”The chick’s daddy” as Katie would call it.
