Eleri came over to play with Katie today but it was not to be as long a visit as Tuesday. Her grandmother came to pick her up around 1:30pm.
This evening Katie asked me for a present. I rooted around in our package of Dollar Store products and came up with “Silly Putty” (see photo to the left). I had a lot of fun with it as a child and thought Katie would enjoy it. As I remembered, it was great to roll into a ball and bounce. You could also stretch it long and create little strings of putty. One thing that it does not do any longer is pick up images off newspapers. I seem to recall that they have changed the ink on newspapers in recent years. We ended up using it as a blanket for one of her toy piglets.
We’ve bought tickets for the circus that will be coming to town on Saturday, April 19, 2014. This will be the first time Katie has been to a circus. We got some great seats on the front row.
The frame is done on the shed. This needs to be inspected before they can work on it any further. They tried to get an inspection set up for tomorrow but it’s going to be Monday.
