Day #1560 (Sat., Apr. 12, 2014) – Our Easter Egg Hunt
We had our Easter egg hunt at 11am this morning. My wife got up before I did and put the various Easter eggs on the front lawn. Olivia and Gabby arrived first. Bradley and Helen and Gunther also came. My wife had them decorate Easter eggs around the table for starters (see photo to the right). Once everyone arrived the Easter egg hunt could begin.
The kids had a ball finding all the eggs. Helen got the most but even little Gabby was gathering them up. When the egg hunting was over everyone went inside to have a snack. Mushroom turnovers, cheese and crackers, goldfish, and juice packs. We bought two dozen chocolate cupcakes last night but forgot to put them out on the table.
By 1pm everyone had gone home. I did see Gabby’s parents walking her down our street later in the evening. She still had her Easter basket. Her mother told me that it was hard to get it out of her hand…she wanted to be ready if she saw any more Easter eggs.
A good time was had by one and all…
