Day #1564 (Wed., Apr. 16, 2014) – Moe’s, Michael’s & YoPop
My wife’s car has the “Service Engine Soon” light coming on so I dropped it off at Lloyd’s Tire for a checkup. They said that it was the thermostat and it would cost about $165. I needed to leave it so Nikki drove me to work. My wife and her managee drove Katie to school and then they went to work themselves.
This evening my wife picked up the car from Lloyd’s Tire and drove over to where I work to pick me up. We felt like having a bit of a relaxing evening so we went to Moe’s Michael’s & YoPop.
Katie was fussy and restless at YoPop so I said “Katie look at me. You have one more chance. If you don’t settle down and stop whining we are going right home. No Moe’s, no playing with the animals at Michael’s, and no YoPop”. She sure settled down then…and we didn’t have any problems with her the rest of the evening.
At Michael’s Katie and I played with the animals while my wife checked out the picture frames. She could answer all the questions I had about the animals except for one…she didn’t know what a Buffalo was. She wanted a sheet of stickers with princesses on them so I bought that for her (see photo to the right). My wife also got two nice frames for the 8×10 pictures of Katie.
Next stop was to YoPop for Katie’s “sugar fix”…some strawberry and a little chocolate too. We then drove home and Katie was so tired she was soon out…
