Day #1588 (Sat., May 10, 2014) – Picking Strawberries
My wife and I took Katie to Waller Farm this morning to pick strawberries. We came home with two large containers full (see photo to the right). My wife is going to make some strawberry cake, but what in the world are we going to do with all the rest of them? I paid for them and took them to the car while my wife and Katie wandered off to feed the chickens.
When we got home I dropped everyone off and went to Trader Joe’s to get fixins’ for my wife’s strawberry cake.
This afternoon Helen came over to play with Katie. They had fun splashing about in our new pool.
Lucy dropped Zach off at our house later today. The cats were not too amused. Although Katie loves Zach he is not much of a “playing dog”, which is teaching us a very valuable lesson. Katie needs a dog like Miley, who loves Katie and is much more “durable” when it comes to play time.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
