Day #1594 (Fri., May 16, 2014) – Picking Up Katie
Another vacation day today. I had a stock certificate that I needed to mail to ETrade so my wife and I decided that we would do this together, then go to Subway for lunch, and both pick up Katie at her school. I asked Katie what she did at school today and she replied (as usual) “I don’t know”. When we got home we noticed in her backpack a lovely photo of her in a frame…so they did do Arts & Crafts.
The photo to the left shows another item I picked up at the Dollar Store yesterday…a frog float.
This afternoon Stephanie took Katie to Spencer’s Farm and Katie actually got a chance to pet a bunny. Funny how she doesn’t remember what she did in school but was all excited about telling us about the bunny as soon as she returned.
We made some Trader Joe’s cheese pizza this evening and Katie was all over it. We’re going to have to have more of it in the freezer for exactly those times in which she doesn’t want to eat. She sure seems to like cheese pizza.
This evening I pretended that the sock puppet was complaining to me that Katie ripped her hair off the other day. Katie loved the banter back and forth between me and the sock puppet.
