Helen came over to play with Katie this afternoon. They started out in the pool and gradually worked their way into the house. We needed some supplies at Trader Joe’s so I made a run this afternoon. I got some of the chocolate cupcakes that Katie loves so much.
My wife needed to pick out some new glasses so we made a trip to Sam’s Club. It seemed that Katie enjoyed picking out the various frames more than my wife did.
When we returned home my wife got a phone call from our doctor friend in Charlotte. She agreed, the bite marks on Katie’s arm look like lyme disease (see photo to the left). Wanting to get it treated sooner rather than later we decided that we would take Katie to Urgent Care. With our regular usual urgent care facility closed we ended up at UNC Urgent Care. The doctor diagnosed Katie and prescribed some antibiotics. As the pharmacy at WalMart was closed by the time they sent the prescription I will need to pick it up tomorrow morning. The doctor said to wait til tomorrow morning to pick it up at any rate.
So, all in all, quite the eventful (if that’s the word) day…
