Day #1624 (Sun., June 15, 2014) – Father’s Day

2014-06-15 - Father's DayIt’s Father’s Day and as soon as I woke up Katie brought a bag of presents over to me. She dutifully took each one out. A Father’s Day Card and some shirts…one after another. You can see the inside of the card in the photo to the right…mommy, daddy, Katie, and Batman and Robin. Not sure where the bunny comes into the picture?

We decided that we would go to Moe’s for lunch so off we went. After Moe’s we went to Bed Bath & Beyond so my wife could check out the back massaging units.

Our next stop was the “Scrap Exchange” in Durham. Katie liked a specific heart craft and a little girl came and took it out of our cart. When Katie started to cry we had to track her down and find out where she put it. Her mother indicated that she had done things like this before. Someone needs some discipline…

On the way home we went to Sam’s Club to pick up my wife’s glasses. While we were being waited on Katie tried on various frames and checked them out in the mirror. She likes to do that.

This evening we went down the road for a family walk. On the way home I decided that I would take Katie to YoPop for some frozen yogurt so my wife could clean up the kitchen. We didn’t get waited on at first as the cashier had to tend to the owner who was in the back of the store with food poisoning.

We had a hard time putting Katie to bed this evening. I think the chocolate she had in her YoPop might have wired her up. At one point she looked at Robin sleeping on my bed and said “I want to check if the cat has diarrhea”. She took a look at the cat’s backside and said “Nope”.
